RIEDEL Partners with WineGB
RIEDEL UK is proud to announce the strengthening of its partnership with WineGB - the national association for the English and Welsh wine industry – by becoming an official industry partner.
WineGB works to support the sustainable growth of the British wine sector through promotion, education and training, including liaising with authorities to advise on policy and regulation, developing trade opportunities, and helping with vineyard sustainability.
RIEDEL's partnership with WineGB will allow us to support their ongoing objectives to help the British wine sector continue to grow and thrive. As such, RIEDEL will become the exclusive glassware partner for WineGB, and will feature at all press and member conferences, at the annual trade tasting, and at all domestic official WineGB trade events and tastings.
Continuing our support of Britain's wine industry
This partnership with WineGB sees RIEDEL deepen its position as a proud supporter of British wines. RIEDEL has worked closely with the English and Welsh wine sector for many years, and in 2023, launched the RIEDEL English Sparkling Wine Glass following three separate tasting workshops held in Hampshire, Kent, and Sussex respectively.
These three workshops saw wine experts and enthusiasts taste a selection of English Sparkling Wines from a shortlist of 12 different RIEDEL glasses to identify a single winning glass that performed best. Each workshop was conducted independently, and featured 25 different wineries, with all three sessions coming to the same conclusion, solidifying the winning glass's position as the best glass for English sparkling wine.
Since the launch of the RIEDEL English Sparkling Wine Glass, WineGB has used it at several trade events to ensure the best representation of the wines on show, and this will continue with the beginning of this partnership.
