Tawny Port

Produced in the northern provinces of Portugal, this specific type of port is made by aging red grapes in wooden barrels rather than large tanks, creating a golden-brown colour due to the oxidation that has occurred. These ports are typically sweet or medium dry, light coloured and light bodied, silky in texture, and are usually consumed as a dessert wine.
