Smaragd

Produced in the notable wine region of Wachau, Austria, Smaragd is a classification for wines that must be at least 12.5% in alcohol volume and are the most sought after Wachau wines. Extremely popular when made from Riesling grapes, Smaragd wines are made from highly ripe, hand-picked grapes, possess a bright, greenish-yellow colour and are rich in body and flavour, with fruity notes of apricot, peach, and lychee emerging.
