Viognier
This white wine grape is grown worldwide, perhaps most notably in the Rhône Valley, France, where it is the only permitted grape in the Condrieu Appellation d'Origine Protégée. Viognier can produce full-bodied wines with pear, peach, and violet aromas that are generally considered to be best drunk while young. Crisp, flavourful Viogniers often pair well with spiced foods such as Thai cuisine, seafoods, shellfish, and fruity chicken salads.
