Most notably grown in Austria and the Czech Republic, this red wine grape variety is believed to be a cross between Pinot noir and another unknown grape. St. Laurent is known for being highly aromatic and makes for dry red wines that are deeply coloured and contain sour cherry aromas and flavours. These sophisticated wines pair well with fatty cuts of meat, barbequed dishes, and a range of cheeses.
