Pessac Leognan (Rouge)

This Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée is located in the Graves area of the Bordeaux wine region and is known for both red and white wines. The predominantly-produced red wines use Cabernet Sauvignon as the main grape variety, with significant assistance from Merlot to create earthy wines with a blackcurrant and cedar flavour. Pessac Leognan red wines pair particularly well with roasted lamb, as well as gamey meats, ham, and beef.
