Palomino (Sherry)
Grown extensively in Spain and South Africa, this white wine grape is well recognised for its use in the making of sherry. The Palomino Fino sub-variety is the principle grape used for sherry-making which, after fermentation, makes for a wine that is low in acidity and sugar- perfect for sherry. The resulting sherries are intense and aromatic and can be enjoyed before eating as an apéritif.
