Chardonnay (oaked)
This globally-known, green-skinned grape used to produce white wine originates from the Burgundy region of France, but is now grown worldwide. Chardonnays aged in oak absorb the oak's flavours and colour, giving them a darker yellow colour and often distinct vanilla flavours that balance the Chardonnay's natural fruitiness. This fuller Chardonnay pairs well with fish dishes that are accompanied by a creamy sauce or soft cheese.
