The Beaujolais Cru is an entire vintage wine-producing area consisting of 10 vineyard groups. The Crus are considered the 10 highest quality areas in the French region of Beaujolais and produce wines that range from light-bodied wines that require consumption within 3 years of the vintage to wines that are full-bodied and only require consuming between 4 and 10 years after harvest.
