Sauternes
This sweet white wine is produced in the Sauternes region in Bordeaux, France. Made from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon blanc, and Muscadelle grapes that have been affected by noble rot, Sauternes are considered to be one of the world's finest sweet white wines. Sweet with a balance of acidity, these wines age very well and display flavours of honey, peaches and apricots with underlying notes of nuts.
