Marc

Also known as Pomace, Marc is a term for the skins, stems, pulp and seeds of a fruit that remain after the fruit has been pressed for juice or oil. Marc from grapes can be used to produce sweet brandies, while liquors can also be made from other fruits. Red wine marc is generally more alcoholic than white wine marc due to the marc fermenting more during the maceration period.
