Sancerre
Located in the Sancerre area of the Loire Valley, this Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée for wine grows mostly Sauvignon blanc, with around 20% of grape production coming from Pinot noir. Sancerre blanc wines are known for being very dry, with peach and gooseberry flavours emerging, Sancerre rouge wines are light or medium-bodied and floral, and Pinot noir-based rosés are dry with strawberry and raspberry notes prevailing.
