Bacchus
Originating in Palatinate, Germany in 1993, Bacchus is a white grape that was born by crossing a Silvaner/Riesling cross with a Müller-Thurgau. Bacchus wines are low in acidity, can have powerful flavours if allowed to ripen fully, and pair well with seafood typically. Bacchus is being increasingly grown in English vineyards, where it has a higher amount of acidity than usual and is comparable to a Sauvignon Blanc.
