Champagne
The most famous of all sparkling wines, Champagne comes from the Champagne region of northern France. Using the traditional method, Méthode Champenoise, Champagne is blended from several grape varieties, with a general rule being that Champagne must involve the blending of the white Chardonnay grape, or the red Pinot noir or Pinot Meunier grapes. This gently-pressed sparkling wine is typically quite dry and is famous the world over.
