Sauvignon Blanc (oaked)
Originating in the Bordeaux region of France, this green-skinned grape is one of the most widely grown grapes in the world. Oaked Sauvignon blancs are fermented in barrels and aged on the lees. This gives the oaked wines a creamier texture, while oak aging can add flavours of butter, creme brulee, and lemon curd, and are often blended with Sémillon grapes to add candied flavours to the wine.
