Médoc
Located in the Bordeaux wine region in south-west France, Médoc is a world-famous wine growing region that is known for producing some of the finest wines available. The Médoc Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée almost exclusively produces red wines, with no white wines being permitted. 50% of this appellation is planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with the finest wines said to come from sites closest to the water.
